Who we are and what we provide
RoofIQ is operated by Jamie McDonagh as a UK sole trader. We prepare project-specific roofing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for roofing contractors and businesses. This policy applies to business orders. Any additional scope or bespoke arrangements must be agreed in writing before work begins.
The service is document preparation from the information you supply. Site inspections, surveys, engineering design, specialist assessments and supervision are not included.
Prices and monthly plans
One-off RAMS: £149 for one project, delivered within three working days. Professional: £279 per month for up to three RAMS, delivered within two working days. Contractor: £499 per month for up to six RAMS, with next-working-day delivery for complete requests received before 12 noon UK time on a working day. Additional RAMS for subscribers cost £99 each. No VAT is currently charged.
Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled. Allowances apply to each monthly billing period, reset on renewal and do not roll over. Prices and any separately agreed charges are confirmed before payment. Payment is handled through Stripe.
Requests, delivery and urgent work
Provide accurate and complete project details, the proposed work, site arrangements, access and fall protection, and any relevant drawings, specifications or client requirements. We may request clarification before preparing your RAMS. Use the same email address as your payment so we can match your order.
Turnaround starts once payment or an active subscription is confirmed and all required project information has been received. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. Contractor requests completed at or after 12 noon, or on a non-working day, enter the next working day’s delivery cycle.
Completed documents are delivered by email. Complex work may need longer than the standard turnaround; we will discuss this and agree a delivery date before preparing the document. Contact us before ordering urgent work: availability, timing and any extra charge must be agreed first. If a delay arises, we will contact you to discuss the revised timing and available options.
Revisions and changes of scope
Unlimited revisions are included for the same project and scope, including relevant client or principal-contractor comments. Corrections to our work are included. A different site, new project or material change in the work may require a new RAMS or an additional charge. We will explain and agree that with you before proceeding.
Review and responsibility for site safety
We prepare RAMS with reasonable care and skill. Your business must check and approve each document against the actual site, workforce, equipment, working methods and current conditions before use. Brief the workforce, implement the controls, and review the RAMS when circumstances change.
RoofIQ does not take over the duties of the contractor, employer, client, principal contractor or other dutyholders. The service does not guarantee client approval or make unsafe work acceptable. Tell us about any missing or inaccurate information so we can revise the document. This allocation of site responsibilities does not remove our responsibility for the quality of the document-writing service.
Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel by emailing rams@roofiq.co.uk before your next renewal. We will confirm cancellation. Cancellation stops future renewals; your current paid plan remains available until the end of its billing period. There is no cancellation fee.
Unused monthly allowances do not automatically create a refund entitlement. If you believe the service was not provided as agreed, contact us so we can investigate and discuss an appropriate remedy. Contact us promptly about an unintended renewal.
One-off cancellations and refunds
If you cancel a one-off order before preparation work begins, we will refund the payment in full. If work has begun, we will explain the work completed and any reasonable proportionate charge, with the remaining balance refunded. If the agreed document has been completed and delivered, a change of mind does not normally entitle you to a refund.
If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will discuss a revised arrangement or refund the part of the service we cannot provide. If our work does not meet the agreed brief, please tell us: we will investigate and correct it, or agree an appropriate refund where correction is not a suitable remedy. Agreed refunds are returned through the original payment method; payment-provider processing times apply.
These terms do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. RoofIQ’s advertised service is for business use. If you are ordering as a consumer, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the terms and any statutory cancellation rights that apply.
Using your documents and keeping information confidential
You may use and share your completed RAMS for the specified project with your workforce, clients and principal contractors. They must not be reused for unrelated work without review or resold as templates. You retain ownership of the source material you provide and must have authority to share it with us.
We use project information to deliver and administer the service and handle it as described in our Privacy statement. Do not send unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Questions, complaints and changes
Email rams@roofiq.co.uk with your project or order details if you have a question or complaint. We will acknowledge it, investigate and respond as promptly as reasonably possible.
The policy version in place when you order applies to that order. We will communicate material changes affecting an ongoing subscription before they take effect.
